Advisory Board

Tej Singh (stanfordstorm@gmail.com)

Tej Singh, MD, has been involved with youth sports in America for over 25 years. Tej grew up in Chicago and was an avid ice hockey player and street hockey player/organizer. In 1984, while a high school student in Chicago he attended the 1984 Summer Olympics and watched over 25 field hockey matches. Little did he know that 20 years later he would be coaching and organizing youth field hockey in California.

Tej has been instrumental in organizing and building youth field hockey in the Bay Area since 2001. He has coached the Bay Cool Cats, started the Stanford Lightning youth program, and in 2007 committed his efforts to the Stanford Storm Hockey program. Dr. Singh lives in Los Altos Hills with his wife and 3 sons and is the Chief of Vascular Surgery for the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Group. When not coaching field hockey, Tej is coaching or involved in Bay Area youth sports such as Pony baseball, AYSO Soccer, ice hockey, or street hockey for his 3 sons.


Brett Lytle (bplytle@pacbell.net)

Brett Lytle has been involved in youth activities and sports for almost 20 years from a being a soccer referee for AYSO and CYA to serving on the Board of Directors of AYSO and still serving on the Mountain-View Los Altos High School Foundation. Brett has three children who have been playing Field Hockey for over eight years with one in college and two in High School both of whom are still playing field hockey. Brett is a practicing attorney in San Mateo at McDowall Cotter APC.


Ragu Bhargava (ragubhargava@yahoo.com)

Ragu Bhargava has three kids, all hockey players for over eight years. Ragu's second daughter is currently on the Los Altos High School varsity field hockey team, which she joined as a freshman. Ragu's son has been playing with Stanford Storm as a founding player. Ragu's younger kids have participated in many tournaments over the years both locally and in international tournaments like CalCup, Festival (Indio, CA), and have played at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA. Ragu is very committed and dedicated to the success of Stanford Storm both as a Board member and as a parent and has played a significant role in the formation and development of the program. Professionally, Ragu has over 20 years experience in corporate finance, governance, and mergers and acquisitions working for both public and private companies.


Boris Schubert (schubert.boris@gmail.com)

Boris is father of three sons who all play Field Hockey with the Storm - two of them in the U9 team. They all joined the Storm in August 2008. Prior to that, he has been involved with his oldest son (U16) in German Field Hockey for several years. When Boris doesn't work as an assistant coach with the U9 boys team, he works for a German clean-tech company here in the Bay Area.
